So Much To Do, So Little Time

I can't believe that I only have a few weeks left in London, it is so crazy.  It feels like we just got here!  The next couple days are going to go by so slowly, seeing as though I am going to Italy for Spring break!!! I am way to excited.  I am going to post a little blurb right now, before I head of to for a much needed break :).

It was a pretty slow week at my internship this week, and I just got little tasks to complete, including ordering samples for 3D tile panels for a bathroom.  As for class, I had a presentation for my British Art and Architecture at Tate Britain.  It went very well and after I had to focus on writing my 2,500 word essay for Shakespeare.  I chose to write my essay on Hamlet and it was my last assignment for the rest of the semester here!  I am so glad to have all of my homework done and now I just have to worry about exams.  In Shakespeare we were assigned to read Measure for Measure, this is probably my least favorite play that I have read for this course.  It just was interesting to me.

And finally we have the weekend.  On Friday it was Taylor's birthday.  For a present I mad her a banana split cake.  Let me tell you it is a lot more difficult than you think to find ingredients to make a cake over here.  But surprisingly, it turned out very good.  In the morning we got brunch at our new favorite restaurant, The Riding House Café.  Their pancakes are to die for.  Then we went to go look for Neal's Yard, which is a little alley way with shops that is painted all sorts of different colors.  It was really pretty.

We then had some time till we met up for our bus tea tour.  The tear tour started at 3pm and it was wonderful!  We got so many little pastries that were so delicious.  And of course the tea was good too!  It was very relaxing and I would definitely recommend doing the BB Bakery tour! That night we all got ready and went to A silent Disco at the Millbank  Tower.  For those of you who don't know what a Silent Disco is (I didn't either), it is where everyone gets their own headphones and each person can listen to their own music while dancing with their friends who are either listening to the same thing or something completely different.  The most amusing part of this event, was when you would take off your headphones and could hear everyone singing and there was absolutely no music playing.  It was very enjoyable and fun :)

As for Saturday, we relaxed a little in the afternoon and then got ready for a Medieval Banquet.  I had never been to one of these and it was interesting to say the least.  People were in costumes and there was Medieval music playing.  Between each course there were performers, such as acrobats.  For the first course we had soup and bread and we could not use a spoon.  For the second course we had a meat and cheese platter.  Chicken and vegetables were served for the third.  And lastly we had apple pie for dessert.  All of the food was delicious and the whole environment made you feel like we were actually in Medieval times.

On Sunday we didn't really know what to do because the weather was really rainy and windy and a lot of the things we have left on our lists involve having good weather.  So we decided to check out another market that we haven't been to yet.  The market was a little far away in Greenwich.  But it was well worth it.  The market was very cute and we were very productive.  We all found several souvenirs for our family and friends.  We also got these mini pancakes that were to die for.  I got strawberry, banana, and nutella, so yummy.  Then it started pouring so we went back home.

It took me this long to post, because I was in Italy all last week and I will be sure to post about that little adventure very soon so keep your eyes peeled.  I can't believe that we have less than two weeks here, but I can't wait to see all of your bright shining faces ;).  Until then, Cheers! -Heather
